Nobody wears a new helmet at room temperature

Most product testing happens under the best conditions the product will ever see. New, dry, clean, indoors, around 70 degrees. A recent Olympic helmet project did the opposite, simulating impacts across a temperature range and after artificial ageing, and the reason that's newly possible says something about what cheap iteration actually changes.
